Jacksonville Clay Target Sports Newsletter April 2016
With daylight savings in effect and beautiful weather outdoors it is not a surprise that our club is bursting with activity. Everyone now has an extra hour to come and shoot sporting clays on Wednesday and Friday. Also, our college kids have been very active over the last few months; we even hosted a very large college event. JU shooters are doing really well in competition, and Dave Dobson will write about them in his article.We are delighted with all this activity and are planning several new events and activities for you. Ducks Unlimited Clays for Conservation Shoot
Please review the following invitation to the Ducks Unlimited fundraiser to be held at our facility. Jacksonville Clay Target Sports supports organizations like Ducks Unlimited that are involved in protecting and creating hunting habitats. Money raised at this event will help preserve natural habitats in places like Guano WMA and Merritt Island NWR.Thank you,Z. Mincek

As I write this month's newsletter I am very excited about all the activity at the club. We had a great January and now it seems we're having a great February with spectacular weather enabling many shooters to come out and enjoy the sport of shotgun shooting at our club. Among the many featured activities we have had several fundraising events and a SCI family outing; and still to come, during the last weekend of February the club will be hosting a Fish Fry Skeet Tournament. We just finished a busy December and it looks like a busy January as well. The weather has been absolutely beautiful for shooting. I hope you will take advantage of the weather and come to the club. We are closing in on the 2015 calendar year; and what a year it was! Our club has seen a lot of changes and there are a lot more to come. In 2015 we made great strides in improving our facilities and programs, we successfully held several large events, and we increased our membership base.
