Youth Programs

At Jacksonville Clay Target Sports (JCTS), we are dedicated to fostering the next generation of shooting sports enthusiasts through our comprehensive youth programs. including being the proud home club for the Jacksonville University (JU) Varsity Shooting Team as part of our Collegiate Programs

Jax Clay Target Busters

We are thrilled to support and host the Jax Clay Target Busters, a Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) focused on youth shooting development. This program is designed to introduce young people to the sport of clay target shooting while instilling important life skills such as safety, teamwork, accountability, and goal setting.

Affordable and Accessible

To ensure accessibility, JCTS covers the annual dues of $25 per student. Additionally, targets and shells are subsidized through an NRA youth clay sports development grant, making participation very affordable. We even provide youth shotguns for those who do not have their own.

Dedicated Coaching

Our dedicated coaches staff includes Hector Rangel (Head Coach & JU Captain), Kaylee Joseph, Samantha McInteer (JU Captain), Neesa DaCosta, Maddie Cutler, Lola Fitzgerald and Gracie Davidson, JU Shooting Team members and certified instructors.

Competitive Opportunities

The SCTP club teams compete at local, regional, and national levels, offering participants the chance to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience. Beyond shooting, the program emphasizes academic focus and professionalism, preparing students for future opportunities. The SCTP system feeds into over 360 collegiate clay target programs, many of which offer varsity programs with scholarship opportunities.

Join us at JCTS and become part of a tradition of excellence in youth shooting sports. Whether you're aiming for a national championship or simply looking to develop new skills, our youth programs offer unparalleled opportunities for growth and success.
