The Jacksonville University (JU) Shooting Team has once again demonstrated its talent, tenacity, and top-tier performance on the national stage. At the ACUI Collegiate National Championship in San Antonio, Texas, the team brought home an impressive collection of awards and secured a well-earned 3rd place overall in Division I.
In the words of some of the JU Shooting Team members:
“Our team brought home an impressive haul of awards, including multiple first-place finishes in doubles trap, skeet, and super sporting across various divisions. Competing against over 1,100 athletes from 100 schools, we proved our skill and depth on the range, securing 3rd place overall in Division 1. With top placements in both individual and team events, our shooters showcased grit, precision, and excellence. A huge congratulations to everyone who competed and represented us at the highest level. Many thanks to Jax Clay Target Sports for all they provide for us!!”
These achievements are a testament to the team’s ongoing dedication and the strength of their training program. JU’s shooters showcased remarkable focus and consistency, proving they are a force to be reckoned with in collegiate shooting sports.
Founded in 2009 and recognized as an official varsity sport in 2011, the JU Shooting Team has built a legacy of excellence.
